GIRARI BEVERLY HILLS GOES BEYOND GREEN; INTIATES �RECLAIMING DESIGN� INITIATIVE
Girari, a Furniture Design and Manufacturing Company, Establishes Sustainable Platform for All Divisions Including Girari Sustainable Event Furnishings
Beverly Hills, CA � Girari and Girari Sustainable Event Furnishings have gone back to the drawing board to develop enhanced sustainability in its furniture and furnishings lines and all operations in Southern California and in Las Vegas. Buoyed by the success of the rental division�s �green� offerings and the event industry�s embrace of their highly aesthetic product, Girari has ratcheted up its commitment to the environment in event rental design, as well as custom furniture sold to the trade and consumer. In addition to its own sustainable line of furniture, Girari has added 100% recycled glass dishware and glassware and 100% recycled aluminum vases and bowls to its event furnishings line. �We are re-imagining our designs based on the results of our sustainable rental furniture�s success. Recycled aluminum, reclaimed wood, recycled foam and fabrics will be the foundation of our offering. We are the first event rental company to provide a sustainable product line and we will continue to push the envelope,� says Girari President Darryl Aken. Aken is even challenging the event industry to change its thought pattern too. The initiative of utilizing 60% - 80% sustainable components in his product lines is met with excitement and increased bookings from his clients which include Pebble Beach Country Club, the Getty Museum, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, De Beers and more. In fact, a new regular series launched in June (and hosted in their showroom) entitled, �Sustainable Lunch & Learn� features the �how tos� of sustainable event creation from soup to nuts in the �green eco-bubble�. This special series will continue through the summer (by reservation). Key influencers in the hospitality/meetings sector and the entertainment events industry will get to have a live demonstration of how to integrate sustainable elements into an affair; anything from a �green wedding� to presenting a sustainable trade show or mounting an eco-sensitive movie premiere party. �Sustainable Lunch & Learn� is a unique showcase of sustainable trends that will not only allow Girari to feature its event furniture and furnishings line, but brings an array of eco-sensitive and eco-sophisticated resources into view. From choices in food, tabletop, and energy-efficient lighting and LED candles to recycled floral receptacles and votives, organic linens, flooring and carpet, repurposed paper/invites/collateral, and other d�cor necessities - - - all will be brought to the forefront from companies, which like Girari, have sustainable and/or �restorative� operations. This luncheon forum is a place for the key influencers in these industries to share ideas and delve into new options for doing good business ---- good for them and their clients, and good for the planet.
